I was reading my Brides magazine and came across a cool bridesmaid dress idea from David’s Bridal that I am going to suggest to my bridesmaids. They offer these dress sets they call Separates. I’m not a bridezilla (at least not yet), and am not forcing my bridesmaids to wear a dress that only I like and in a color that is only appropriate for my wedding.
Originally, my idea was to let them chose a dress that they like but give them the option of several colors that would match my wedding. But when I found the David’s Bridal Separates I thought the ladies would love this. The dress consists of a blouse and a skirt of their choosing. So after the wedding, the blouse can be pair with another skirt or even a pair of jeans.
I’m trying to do my wedding as least expensive as possible, and I would hate to force people to waste their own money.

That’s what I did! Except I found mine on the David’s Bridal Clearance section of their website. Everyone’s separate cost $10….My bridesmaid dresses were $20!
Holy cow! I hope my bridesmaids can get in on a deal like that! I’m all about bargain shopping.
I did the seperates but everyone ended up in the same type except for Kaylee…still won’t think anyone liked them:( I wasn’t a bridezilla though wish they would have said something
@Kristi – Oh really? Hmm. We looked at them when I bought my dress, and they looked cute. But looking cute and fitting right are two different stories. I’ll keep my options open for sure. Thanks for the insight.
@Angela – sorry just noticed the reply. Yes they are nice and they really do have different choices for body type. You will find something.
