To my surprise, my fiance surprised me last week asking if I wanted to go to the San Diego Bridal Bazaar last Sunday. Even though we’re planning to have the wedding in Colorado Springs, I still wanted to go check it out to get ideas (and to eat lots of cake). Right now, I’m trying to figure out what flowers I want. It’s going to be a challenge because I need one in each of my colors. I found several arrangements that were bright and vibrant.
Dave and I took a bunch of pictures to use as reference — cakes, invitations, colors, linens, musicians, etc. By the way, I would LOVE to have a string quartet at the ceremony. That’s one of the things I always imagined at my wedding. *sigh*
The Bridal Bazaar ended with a fashion show of new designer wedding dresses and dresses for bridesmaids and Moms and tuxes for the guys. At the end, they tossed out prizes and I nabbed a free engagement photography session with Spotlight Studios. We have a consultation on Friday with the photographer. I’m so freakin’ excited. It’s totally unexpected.
As you can see from the pics, the Bazaar was awesome. I don’t know why I haven’t gone sooner just for all the samples. If you have any suggestions as far as flowers go, I’d love to hear about them!
My mother is a florist and will do it for you for cheap! She’s already done arrangements for two of the Udall kids (if you remember them). If you are interested and want her contact information, I’ll give to you to consult. Good luck to you! I’m getting married too!

Go to as many of those things as you can manage! They are fun, free food and the samples are amazing!
Also, we used Gentry’s flowers in the springs that they treated us awesome. Worked within our budget and the flowers were amazing! We will get flowers from them and never forgot us!
